Marc Jacobs:

Born in a Jewish family of New York,  Marc Jacobs is the head designer of “Marc by Marc Jacobs,” “Diffusion Line,” “Marc Jacobs” and “Louis Vuitton.” While studying at the Parson College of Design, he sold his first stack of hand-knit sweaters and very soon became the first choice of New York City celebrities. In April 2010, he was introduced to the list of the 100 most influential people of the world, compiled by Time magazine.

Betsey Johnson:


Widely appreciated for her whimsical and feminine designs, Betsey Johnson holds a deep knowledge in the field of costumes. She was listed into the “Fashion Walk of Fame” in 2002 and after that she expanded her area by including handbags, hats, scarves and accessories in her specialization.

Kate Spade:


Co-founder of the prominent designer brand “Kate Spade New York,” this fashion-stimulator holds a graduate degree in journalism from the Arizona State University. Kate is well known for her designer handbags that are considered as highly-desired items for fashionistas.

Tom Ford:


An eminent American fashion designer, Tom Ford is famous for overhauling “Gucci” in its bad days. He is also the founding father of Tom Ford brand which rules the market of menswear and accessory collections.

Ralph Lauren:


Better known as LAU-ren, Ralph Lauren is a top-notch celebrity of the fashion arena who is widely adored for being the founder of Polo Ralph Lauren brand. He came to prominence after designing the notable short sleeve mesh shirt with the Polo logo, in 1972.

 Coco Chanel:


A leading figure of the 20th century fashion industry, Coco Chanel was a French fashion designer, notable for founding one of the most illustrious fashion brands, Chanel. Till the date, she is the single fashion designer to be listed on “The Most Important People of the Century,” of Time magazine.

Giorgio Armani:


Giorgio Armani is credited for being the actual designer who changed the parameters of fashion industry by forming the mega-brand “Armani” in 1975. He is also the first designer to ban models with a Body Mass Index (BMI) under 18.

Valentino Garavani


Founder of the famous brand “Valentino SpA,” Valentino Garavani is an Italian fashion designer and an unquestioned legend of couture. Valentino is best known for designing the dresses of famous female celebrities across the world. Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy, Queen Paola of Belgium, Princess Margaret and other prominent faces were his regular customers.

Donatella Versace:


Chief designer and the Vice-President of the Versace Group, Donatella Versace is the first fashion designer to use A-List celebrities to publicize her clothing on the catwalk, instead of using nameless models. In advertising sector of Versace, she enrolled some top-notch Hollywood actresses including Madonna, Demi Moore, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and others to promote her brand.


Calvin Klein:

The emblem of “CK” is known by almost every brand conscious people in the world. The fashion brand Calvin Klein Inc. was founded in 1968, by Calvin Klein, an American fashion designer. Klein started his career by launching men’s and women’s coat at a store in New York City. Since then, he has established his firm as an undisputed ruler of the fashion designing genre.


Manish Malhotra




















Manish Malhotra is the top notch as a Bollywood fashion designer. He was the one behind the fashioning of Urmila’s clothes in ‘Rangeela’ (1995). Her outfits were appreciated by the Indian masses bringing Manish into the limelight. Manish has now become the leading Bollywood fashion designer and is especially famous for his signature cuts and design. He designs for both actresses and actors. He has done the creations for Sharukh Khan in ‘Mohabbatein’ (2000). Michael Jackson, the international pop star got his clothes designed by him. His brilliant creations have won him several awards: Siemens’s Viewer’s Choice Award for ‘Dil to Pagal Hai’, Showtime Opinion Poll Award for ‘Raja Hindustani’, Zee Cine Award for Costume Design, Filmfare Award for Costume Design for ‘Rangeela’and Indira Priyadarshini Memorial Award for his contribution to the Fashion Industry. His Bollywood clients include the famous Kajol, Urmila Matonkar, Kareena Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra.




















Neeta Lulla is also a well known fashion designer of Bollywood. Neeta has also received acclaim both in India and overseas. She designs for all leading actresses. Her fashion designing was appreciated in the movies ‘Jodha Akbar’ and ‘Devdas’. The awards she won for costume designing are Taal Screen Awards, Devdas Zee Cine Awards, Devdas National Film Awards and Jodha Akbar National Film Awards. Her famous Bollywood clients are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Juhi Chawla, Hema Malini, Sridevi and Isha Kopikkar.

Fashion designing is the hot and happening profession that is dominating Bollywood as well. The trend is here to stay and will grow stronger with the passing of time.
